The JBI Circulating Library

  • The Barbara and Stephen Friedman Talking Books Library offers audio books in the following languages: English, Russian, Spanish, Yiddish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Romanian and Polish.
    The Talking Books Library has over 13,000 titles.

  • The Large Print Library offers a diverse collection of Large Print titles.

  • The Braille catalog contains more than 8,500 titles.

  • JBI is an Affiliated Library of the Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS).

Once you have registered with the JBI Library, you can order books in 3 ways:

  2. By e-mail: library@jbilibrary.org

  3. To order books online, you need to enter your JBI Patron ID number which you can obtain by calling the library at the telephone numbers above.

The JBI Library can also automatically select books for you based on the subject areas of your choice. Just call and let us know.

Books may be borrowed for a period of 6 months and several books may be borrowed at one time. Returning books is easy. Simply reverse the pre-printed address label on the front of the container and drop the container into the nearest mailbox. There is no need to worry about postage since all materials in special format are sent "FREE MATTER FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED"
