Tzedakah Project: The JBI Great National Jewish Read-in

The JBI Great National Jewish Read-In is a tzedakah experience through which children in day schools and Hebrew schools learn about blindness and have a direct experience of helping the less fortunate. Children raise funds by reading books in print so that blind and visually impaired children can have the Audio, Braille and Large Print books they need to participate as full-fledged members of the community. Children are awarded prizes according to the level of funds they raise, and every child participating receives a certificate in recognition of his or her efforts.

For more information on how your child's school can participate in the Read-In, please contact Arlene Dondiego, JBI Read-In Administrator, at 212-889-2525 or via email at adondiego@jbilibrary.org.
